Really? Have a nice day? I paid for them to fade my jacket. Wonderful. He didn't offer to refund the cost for the coat, nor did he remember stating over the phone that he would help me replace it. He didn't even try to make it right. Again, had I been informed at the start that the dry cleaning process would more than likely fade my coat, I would not have left it there. So now I have a stained, faded jacket that I will never use and more than likely donate to Goodwill. :(

Fast forward to today, when I go to pick it up. Both Chris and his mother are at the counter. Jacket isn't any better and is still faded. After checking over the jacket in front of me Chris stated that he was "sorry it didn't come out", and that was that. He tried to ring me up. When I let him know that I had already paid, his mom rudely piped up with "Shows here she hasn't." I happened to have my receipt, thank goodness. I left very upset - - to have Chris tell me to "have a nice day" as I walked out the door.

I will start by stating that I dropped off two pieces. One was a a black sheath dress. No stains, etc. And that turned out fine. But my second, more expensive piece, was ruined.

When I came back a week later, the employee working the counter handed my jacket over and I was devastated. Not only had the stain NOT come out, the entire jacket was faded. The woman working the counter felt horrible and got ahold of the owner's mother (who I dealt with when I dropped it off). Talking to her on the phone she then bothers to tell me that the pH of laundry detergent and dry cleaning agents don't go well together, and will fade garments. That would have been nice to know at the start. Had I known this, I probably wouldn't have even left it. The woman behind the counter then called Chris, the owner. Who was very nice on the phone and told me if it didn't come out right, after a second try, he would help me get a new jacket. I said fine.

This was a year-old, knee-length wool jacket. My FAVORITE jacket. I had spilled a decent amount of laundry detergent on it, and took it down to Prestige to see what they could do. The lady behind the counter looked at it and said that they would "do their best," and it might not come completely out, but it "should be fine." I acknowledged this and handed my jacket over.
